Once a person establishes their character as a clown and would like to use it for a good cause, how difficult is it to find ones way into a hospital for example. I understand their are quite a few rules in many hospitals regarding the matter. (no latex balloons, sponge balls are an iffy, and many props are out of the question). If one does manage to get a spot in the hospital, do you feel welcome, or is the staff and patients a little more the apprehensive about you? This sounds like a really beautiful way to serve the community, but I am curious about some of the restraints and concerns that clowning in hospitals might involve. How have you, or maybe some of your friends gone about this? thanks!
