I ordered shock fx and bisection and recieved it today.
Its really not my kind of magic I guess some of it would work on stage but for close up and portable magic it really isn't all that I hoped it would be alot of the things need alot of prep and arnt really all that shocking. As for bisection its not that good for me but for others It may be. -Nappa |

Too bad you feel that way :-(.
I liked both *shrug*. Try em out, you may like them better when you've used them. Ian |

Hello.
I was wondering if you can tell more info and the ups and downs on Bisection? It would be greatly appreciated. For example, is the thing you build something you carry around with you, or do you have to tailor and customize your jacket or something of the kind, ect.? I have Shock FX and I really like it. Some of the effects I think is very clever, unique, and interesting. I think the effects on the video have to fit your style to really do the video justice. Thanks and Sincerely, Mack Magic

They don't really fit my style.
As for bisection its a cool illusion I just feel it wont be good for close up but for stage it would be cool |

I loved the Pencil Through Cheek on Shock FX. To me it was one of those "worth the price of the tape" things. I also liked the bowling ball production from paper bag. It looked better than some of the commercial items along this line.
Of course everyone has their preferences. I have not yet seen Bisection but am very curious. The pictures of it look great. Tim |

Well, I'm waiting for my Bi-section.
Although, with great music and lightning, it will be a great stage Illusion,I think. I will make a demo of it, and have it put online.

I ordered shock fx dvd, bisection, and touching sky yesterday. I am pretty sure i will like them all. Touching sky was only $10.00 so i hope it will be a good deal.

Personally, I love everything Andrew puts out. It is all terrific material and can be performed close-up if done correctly.
Bisection and Touching Sky have been my personal favorites. Jon |

I have heard great reviews of every one of Andrew's products, I am going to get touching sky soon.

The thing that amazes me the most on his material is it is all very simple but very effective, unfortunately he recieves very little credit for some of his ideas that are ripped off.

Andrew MAyne product is cool, smart and fantastic..
I got all his product from illusion book to his booklet to his tape. Wonderful collection Cheap and easy to make product with killer effect illusion. The best of my fav is the Bisection and Harry potter floating on a broom in 'Touching skys' Wonderful and superb idea...Low cost but power Symmatrix

I agree with you guys andrew has great stuff out im getting touching sky today. As for my original review its biased because im a close up guy and not much of a stage man so you have to take those things into account. most performers will love his stuff its cheap and easy.

In bisection, is it a prop you need to make up?
If so do you need to alter any clothing? Is it hard and expensive to make or do you need it to be made by a profesional tailor? Can it be done surrounded, and can you bring your legs back. A lot of questions, but I really want to know all the detail before I submit to buying it. Thanks, Owen |

I'm not a big fan of Mayne's products. His stuff is more gross stuff rather than real magic.
But I did enjoy watching Shock FX. Nothing I would use though. |

There is a review in the books and pamphlets section.
I have shock FX, bisection, facelifter, and touching sky. I think Andrew's ideas are fairly good for the new or cheap magician. Good and easy effects to perform with minimal practice time.
