Bruce Springsteen has a new Album out titled "Magic" and the title track could at least be edited for some cool things.(I'm not sure about the using the last verse..unless you're much more creative than me..Also keep in mind that my magic connection is 11yrs old)... If you'd like to hear it before you buy it..find the website to your nearest Clear Channel Rock Radio Station, they should have the "Sneak Peak" posted..
it's kindof a weird tune but some cool things could come out of it. Thought yall might like to see it. The Lyrics (from http://www.springsteenlyrics.com) MAGIC© Album's version I got a coin in my palm I can make it disappear I got a card up my sleeve Name it and I'll pull it out your ear I got a rabbit in my hat If you wanna come and see This is what will be This is what will be I got shackles on my wrists Soon I'll slip 'em and be gone (slip 'em and be gone) Chain me in a box in your river And I'll rise singin' this song Trust none of what you hear (trust none of what you hear) And less of what you see This is what will be (this is what will be) This is what will be [Instrumental] (???) (I'll cut you in half) I got a shiny saw blade (a shiny saw blade) All I need's a volunteer I'll cut you in half While you're smilin' ear to ear And the freedom that you sought's Driftin' like a ghost amongst the trees This is what will be This is what will be (this is what will be) Now there's a fire down below But it's coming up here So leave everything you know Carry only what you fear On the road the sun is sinkin' low There's bodies hangin' in the trees This is what will be (this is what will be) This is what will be |

The lyrics do not make much sense to me (sense to me)_
This is what will be...what will be......la laaa lady daaaa It does not seem like it really has a beginning and middle does seem to have an end. Is this about a slave magician? or a evil magician who gets his due for actually killing his volunteers? |

I liked the song a lot better before I knew what it was really about... The shadow of the Iraq occupation and George W. Bush loom over Bruce Springsteen's new Magic album. But listeners will have to pay close attention to catch all the lyrics that address those topics. Springsteen's latest, which hits stores Tuesday, is not a full-on protest album. Instead, it's the work of an artist speaking with subtle prose and imagery rather than blunt diatribes. Only one of Springsteen's latest songs, Last to Die - which asks, "Who'll be the last to die for a mistake?" - is an in-your-face anti-war song. Others use short passages or single images to convey that Springsteen feels all is not right in the U.S.A. The most macabre commentary comes in the album's title cut. Springsteen seems to be singing about both a carnival magician as well as a time when some Americans fear their rights are being lost: "I'll cut you in half while you're smiling ear to ear / And the freedom that you sought's driftin' like a ghost amongst the trees." |
