Hi,
It's been ages since I've been here but somebody told me about this thread and I think I should comment on this. Of course the moves are in books pre-dating both videos and DVD's but people these days like visuals. But to call me a stealer of others in the DVD field quite simply is not true. In fact in the late 80's and early 90's I did a three video set (DVD's weren't around then) with Repro Magic in the UK called Basic Card Techniques (I also did two called Basic Close-Up Techniques) and the Toolbox set is an extended and updated version of those. Obviously there are now cross-overs to others (there are only so many moves) but there has been no attempt to either copy or steal from others. My videos predated not only DVD sets but the DVD industry itself. You may like or hate me and/or my work but to call me a thief is both hurtful and untrue. Having made my comment and I will now zoom off again to more productive projects that take up my time leaving me little to wander around web sites picking at minutia from those that don't appear to do their research before pouncing to the keyboard with opinions that are often only partially based on actual facts and history. Somebody once said that, "History is not as it happened, it is how we chose to remember it." This seems to becoming a truism in postings here as some people seem to think that history began with the invention of the DVD and internet boards! No offense to anybody ... just my ten cents worth, Best to all, Simon Lovell |

My comment wasn't towards you personally Simon. Your the man and far from a thief. I'm willing to bet Hart Keene wasn't speaking of you personally. I just don't like what Stiff did to Asher and other magicians.
I'm sure this DVD set will be great because your in it. Too bad it had to be a MM product. |

Please don't think that my comment was directed toward you. You are certainly not a thief. I am referring to the company you choose to do business with. I am not afraid to come out and say that MAGIC MAKERS ARE THIEVES. I have seen first hand some of the crap they have pulled. Some of it hitting very close to home... So please don't think that I meant any disrespect. Out of curiosity, why would one choose to do business with a company like Magic Makers? |

What did MMakers do to Asher and other Magicians I know they have a bad reputation but I am curious what all they are guilty of.

I have this DVD set and I like it, almost every common move in card magic inside this DVD set.
