That is a pretty cool idea on material for linking, floating and penetrating CDs/DVDs and I know there is a book in the works with the folks over at Live Magic which Adrian is a part of, I believe a lot of the material in the book will be some things not on any DVD, but that's at most a guess. If you get SNAP! , let me know what you think of it, thanks again, ER |

I just got "Snap!" downloaded on my computer. It is an interesting idea. I would of never thought of that. It would fit in good with my wardrobe.
One thing I like about it is it's easy to perform. Another thing I like about it is it's easy to remember to make. If my lap top caught a virus, I still will not forget how to make it. It is sure worth the $7.99. I'm already ahead in putting it together because I already have your other DVD with what you invented. It should not take long for me to have it ready. The only thing I am disappointed about is the ebook does not have your autograph. At least it has your photo at the end. Thanks again. Keep cool, Dynamike |

Hey Mike, thanks for the comments. I've played around with others ways of accomplishing the effect but none were as easy or visual as SNAP.
I hope you find a nice spot for it in your routine! Autograph huh hehe . |

It would also make the productions quicker. The only thing I'm afraid of is will the hole look too big to the audience. I will give it another week of practice. If I can not perform continuous production quick and smooth by that time, I will widen the hole. |

I ordered some original ones over the internet last week. They are jumbo sized. But I would still like to see the "Jumbo CDs." Where can I purchase them? Thank you for letting us know.

Jumbo CD's are sold through Murphy's so nearly all magic dealers can get hold of them for you. My guess is that they'll release their holders soon enough, they did it with Parasol Anywhere...
I found no problem with the size of the hole, and the scratching is a good thing, it means that when the stage lights hit them the lights will scatter and make them more visible for an audience, if they're perfect then it is possible for them to vanish (McBride talks about this with coins and patterns). For bending they're pretty good, it's if you strike one on the edge that you can chip/crack them, I broke 2 in the first month (okay, so I threw one like a card to see how it'd go, it was amazing but it did crack on the wall!) Laserdiscs are an old medium, that I believe are not made anymore. Your best place to get them is ebay. However it looks like the jumbo cds will be a better way to go. Paul |

Murphy's shows the retail price at dealers will be $29.95. They sell them as Manipulation Jumbo CDs. The difference between a Manipulation Jumbo CD and a laserdisc is about the same difference between a normal and a Manipulation CD. Six Manipulation Jumbo CDs come in the pack.

I got my laser disc in today. They are very heavy. I would not recommend using laser disc. At least I can use them for practice. After I get the rountine together with the laser disc, I will order the Manipulation Jumbo CDs next.

Now with Adrian Man's new finger flinging CD magic instruction, has anyone gotten past the practice part and devised a routine as of yet?
The new CD has a lot of "flash" productions of multiple disc. Looks interesting, but no information on using in a routine. Many flashy appearences noted. |

Just purchased and downloaded Eddie Ray's Broken & Restored CD. It is very interesting, but the requirements may put off some who purchase it.
A nice way to present this effect if you do not want to do a whole manipulation act, is to introduce the that you just got this wonderful new trick on CD as you walked out the door for this engagement. At this point, the CD breaks in your hands. Continue to restore the CD. Just a thought of a way to use this item in a patter story presentation. It is worth the $7.99 download price, and is very nicely explained with color photos and handling tips. If you have Eddie's other CD manipulation DVD, then he continues with this method for this effect. |
