Hi, and I'm Zalman, originally from NYC where I used to hang out originally at the Bellmore Caféteria; Park Ave. S. and 28th, where the movie Taxi was made. Every magician in town would meet in the back room and then at Reuben's Deli and they meet now at Café Rustica, a small pizzeria between 5th & 6th Ave. on 33rd street, still on Saturday afternoons, although many of us have moved away or passed on. I'm now living in Charlotte, NC. I learned from the best: Tony Slydini, Harry Lorayne, Ken Krenzel, Sol Stone, Gene Maize, and so many other greats. It's not the same today, when the youngsters only want to finger flick cards. They don't know the difference between being a performer and a magician. If you ever get to Charlotte, look me up, and send me an email, we'll get together; zpuchkoff@windstream.net
I just joined this forum and the purpose of my subject is that I resent anyone giving the tricks away on youtube and megacafe. It's enough to present them, but why reveal??? |

Welcome to the Café. I am sure you will find many people here who share your frustrations on youtube.
My own two cents is that few people are looking at these videos besides the video creators and magicians. Maybe I am wrong. |

Another point to make on the youtube issue is that I would think you seriosuly have to be at least intersted in magic to even look these things up. I do not think the average Joe goes on there to learn secrets of magic without at least having some interest enough in it. It certainly does not make it right, but it may explain things a little better.
Welcome again to the Café. Kyle
