Hey guys heres a few things I just started working on. some of it is shaky, but maybe its better off that way. I do know that I'm ski sloping a lot when I am squaring up, so ill definitely have to fix that at least.

Now you know what? that's some nice work. That will play, not with the fast boys ,but its good for 95% of the folks out there. Stop! F that swelled head. It will work but you had some shaky moments you need to blend with general foul ups. Its good but waaaay too smooth. you start working a local game and you will be detected.
Who wins? that guy you never suspected. Do the moves sloppy that are not connected with intelligence. You MUST slop what is not related to what you are doing. Make sense? Ask Doc on this one. He does it very well. Don't play to the camera, play to the people. Good stuff.

As I told ya'll I'm still a student in a lot of areas as well and this is actually one of them. I just previously wrote about this Texas Hold'em stuff that I need help as a stationary dealer....or didn't ya'll read this. To me I think that his handling was excellent and then again it wasn't. What I mean by wasn't is a flow of each movement that follows the other so naturally that it just lulls you into not thinking that anything is happening. Again to me he has everything he needs at the moment just like a chef's specialty but he forgot a pinch of garlic something only another chef would know and not a layman. Yes his handling did fool me but it made me think, it triggered something has happened of which I can't explain because I'm a cheat. An ultimate cheater is suppose to fool a cheater no matter what level he's on even though he knows what's going on. Steve Forte's shuffle work is the next level of which I believe we all are talking about. As a matter of fact here is a short clip of Steve fooling an expert card dealer other wise known as Rod the Hop. Listen, watch and learn as I did and see how it's suppose to look. Note: This video in no way teaches the technique it just shows how it really is suppose to look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuNpwxHkXlE Respectfully, Doc |

Smooth and fast... I don't know you, but if I happen to play a money game with a guy who's shuffling like this, unless he's the official dealer, the first thing I'll think is "wow, that guy is a professional player, he knows his stuff, better not to play for a long time with him" :-/

Papermechanic this is why I posted the video, not to humiliate you in no way but to show you that you have it just make it flow right into the next move. Now that you've seen what I was trying to say, I can take the video down now.
P.S. You know me and you are partners in crime so to hell with the rest of them who don't like how I teach. Take Care Doc [quote]On 2007-10-10 15:28, Mr. Z wrote: Quote:

Doc, any chance you can post that video again? I'm very interested in shuffle work, so I'd really appreciate it if I could take a look at that video.
papermechanic, very good job, thanks for posting the video. I've noticed that in the last part though it wasn't a perfect false shuffle because the jack of clubs moves from the other jacks to between the 7 of spades and 8 of clubs. But I'm sure you can do it without this happening and it does look like a legitimate shuffle. |
