This was so cool I just had to post it for you all. I haven't seen it on TV though. Has anyone?

I saw it broadcasted a few weeks back. Then my wife caught it on TV and told me about it too. Great job by JC Penny!
I would love to see that water vanish/transport from the phone booth performed live! Bosco |

Nice, thanks for the link.
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.

Very nice, the best tv commercials take an eternity to get to us here in the midwest.

I have seen the short version of that quite a few times, but I never really thought about it as magic...haha
I just thought it was weird. It's rather cool now that I can see the magic. The full version is much easier to understand.

Pretty cool. Gotta learn how to do that scooter-into-the-truck effect!

How much was magic, and how much was special effects?
At the least I would say the bike into truck and the phone boother were special effects. I would guess that the vanishing car was probably not done live. Other's thoughts?

Probably all were special effects, but it's nice that companys are keeping magic in the fore front...I can think of 3 or 4 other major commericals running that has to do with magic too.

GReat link thanks for that. and one more thing why do we as magicians dot his whole thing that we have to know how everything is done. You know what it was on tv so most of it most likley was special effects but who cares just enjoy it.

I loved that commercial so much! Very creative and clever! Wish they would run with it here in the USA. Looks like this is from Russia (.ru extension)?

Lately, however, I am more motivated by finding things that will make for a good performance, but I still like to find out how stuff works. Don't you? John
