For several years I have done a "yard haunt" for Halloween. Unfortunately, I have so little "trick or treat" activity in my neighborhood that I either have to take the show on the road to a friend's neighborhood with approximately 8 gazillion kids, or forget it altogether. This year, due to scheduling conflicts, I have to forget it. The trouble is I LOVE to build this stuff. I wind up building animated props in midsummer! I do not build cutesy props. The kids earn their Snickers Bars from me...
So, although I'm sure these links exist here somewhere, I'm posting some of my favorites: http://www.pumpkinrot.com/index2.htm I built a scarecrow very similar to this one before I saw this page: http://www.pumpkinrot.com/pages/Page9.htm Lots of good ideas here: http://www.unpleasantstreet.com/ and here: http://www.spookyblue.com/halloween/halloween.htm And the granddaddy of 'em all: http://www.halloweenmonsterlist.info/ And not all Halloween projects but cool stuff just the same: http://imakeprojects.com/ I hope you can all find something amusing or useful! |
