That was really cool. It is very interesting that I have many of those items displayed.
The major drawback is that I would be away from my home alot, unless the warehouse was real close to my home. Posted: Oct 17, 2007 8:37pm Here is a link to my magic room. These are older pictures, and since that time I've added much more. http://www.magic-magic.com/MagicTheater/

Wow! Dennis your magic room looks great. And I think you actually have more videos than I do! By the way, that's a beautiful vanishing bouquet you have in the corner.
The magic studio works well for me since it's only 10 minutes from my office. So, I simply pop over during lunch hours. This way, I get a good 4 hours of uninterrupted practice sessions during the week. With 2 young kids at home I would never get a chance to practice or work on new routines. The studio allows me to do this without taking time away from the family. It also gives me enough room to work on much larger effects and practice stage movements without fear of knocking over furniture. Since these pictures were taken, I've unpacked about 20 more boxes of magic and I've moved in the rest of my magic library. I also hauled over my larger illusions such as the Zig Zag, Subtitution Trunk, Asrah Levitation, and Bryce's Screen. Not surprisingly, the place is starting to feel a little small. Kent

I know what you mean. My shed and traler are full of illusions, and my laundry room is full of puppets.

Thanks for all the input!
My wife and I are building a house (just started) and she agreed that I need a room to store all my magic stuff. So I get a large portion of our basement. My idea is to have a decor that is similar to a cigar/brandy room with lots of dark wood trim and leather chairs. I would like the most of the walls to be bookcases, which means one of them could be the door. Also, one end of the room will have a small raised platform for performing. Of course, this is all contingent on the budget...which means I'm probably just dreaming!!!! |

Why not include a projection system to watch all of your Magic DVDs. Requires a DVD Player and a projector. (It's a lot cheaper than one thinks.)

Dreaming? Look youre a magician...find a way!
"What's your drug?" she asked. "Hope" he said, "The most addicting one of all."

The projection system has always been in the back of my mind. The screen would be pulled down from above the platform area.
Another idea I had is a haunted bookshelf, where the volumes move in and out on the shelf as if being pulled by someone from the "ethereal plane"! There are plans for this on some of the halloween/home haunt sites. This is great. Everyone keep the ideas coming!!! |

Preacherboy, That's the best magic ever, however, I will never buy Alienware again, it's cheaper for me to build a new system much more powerful. I just replaced the insides with 1.5 tera-byte drive. The fastest vidocard on the market below the #1 Video Card, and a new supercooled mother board with superfast processor. Speed & Graphics for HD DVD production.
Joe I painted the wall with paint from Home Depot. It is so much cheaper than a screen. I now have a curtain which hides that screen. PM me if you want more details.

Dennis, I agree having worked at a place where we built pcs from parts (I can give some advice if you want). Oh, also Alienware was sold to Dell, so that "soiled" the brand a bit for me.
