For anyone who performs chop cups on the street do you prefer metal or leather chop cup.

As much as I like the leather ones that we make I don't think I'd use them on the street. I'd use something I could make some noise with.

I would use a cowbell to make noise. Use a cup to do the cups and balls.
It appears to me that you haven't figured out how to use the search function. Here's a thread that is on the first page of this section of the forum. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......rum=6&20 Also, go to Ever so Sleightly and do a search on cups. Copper reflects less than brass, because of the patina. However, with a chop cup, that's not a problem. Learn to do a routine. Then get the right cups for your performing situation.

Bill is in Texas. He is very familiar with cowbells. In rodeo we put them on the rope under the bull to keep the cowboy from going to sleep during the ride!
