Jay Marshall put out a $3 manuscript which absolutly is fantastic. While you are at it get the "Powers of Darkness" manuscript they have as well.

"Lookin' Sharp" (I think it's by Hocus Pocus). I have the prop - never used it onstage - but it appears to be well-built and durable.

But what do you mean "which is the best... for a cabaret comedy show"? If you're looking for a pre-written script and full routine, you might be outta luck. It would be better to do some research, go with the method you feel is right for you... and build the comedy around your personality and the situation. There are no products which are best for a comedy show. I've seen performers totally bomb with "comedy" props... and I've seen performers totally kill with nothing more than a pocket handkerchief and a good sense of humor. The entertainment value is up to the person, not the props.

Steve Gokee (JAN) used to do one with a huge, sharp dagger and he had a magn*tic pull... IT WAS SO DANGEROUS... I SOLD MINE.
I marketed a very nice version for close up, but if I were to buy one I'd get Dick Barry's. I think it's the only one you can show cleanly with the cover off and show both sides of the coat. For impromptu work Ken Brooke's manuscript is perfect. Also Terry Seabrooke's cigarette thru coat can be funneeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Anyone knows if it's possible to show the coat on both sides with "Dave Powell's Knife thru Coat" the way it's possible with Dick Barry version (handle of the knife on one side and blade on the other)?
