Here in Germany there basically is no Halloween. What little there is doesn't necessarily happen on Halloween. Usually I do the following: I throw my son a party, then he and I look at the Bonegarden Estate and whatever else I can find, then we put him to bed and I watch the Changeling and go to Eddie Garland's website. That's my routine.

But the Bonegarden Estate has become boring. I need something new. I want to sit at the computer with my son and get the creeps looking at a virtual haunted house.

It also occurred to me that there might be an entire category of stuff I don't even know about. My son and I love dark rides, and I thought that someone, somewhere, might have a virtual dark ride online. I'm thinking of something in the category of this: http://www.laffinthedark.com/ride.htm , but bigger and better. Yes, I'm dreaming, I suppose, but I thought I'd ask.

So everybody, do you have any good links for online haunted houses or dark rides or ghost trains or such? I need 'em quick, because tonight's the night.

Happy Halloween!

Jeff

Here is an online Haunted House I built many years ago. Its a game so to enjoy it make sure to read the rules page. I only posted it for today so please don't email the answers to the address mentioned in the site. If you email me the answers I'll post in this thread that you beat the game. Its not so easy..good luck.

Enjoy..

You could sell your house and move into a funfair hunted house. It won't cost much as long as you don't go out.

Is that why they call it house-hunting?

Glad you are enjoying it. There are lots of challenges and some funny stuff hidden in there as well has hidden passageways..etc that you have to find to survive.

Remember NOT to use the back button as you'll miss the fun.

Jeff, It's not a dark ride or Haunted house, but you can make chills run up and down his spine by choosing a story from on of these two sites:

http://www.themoonlitroad.com/

and reading it to him tonight when the moon is high!

Moonlit Road (above) is delightful ... I used to scare the heck out of Cub Scouts with stories from there (far less cheesy than the 'approved' scary Cubbie stories).

Both sad and interesting as some of the most highly-prized collectible vintage Halloween decorations came from Germany.

Don't forget my book. (Though yours Jeff is on it's way to Germany)

It's still the only book written about them!

Certainly did! It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun as well.

The horror movie references were great, as was some of the humor. My personal favorite is still the lab! Some of the optical illusion pictures were quite fascinating as well!

Mr Bill, thanks for the YouTube idea. It would have never occurred to me, but it's amazing what people have put up there.

And thank you Tim, especially: that was EXACTLY what I was looking for.
