Anybody notice the sweet new visitor in the Northern sky? Comet Holmes went from visible only to very serious astronomers to visible with the naked eye in a day.
http://www.space.com/spacewatch/071023-c......ate.html It's dead easy to see if you can find the constellation of Perseus. Look for a large, fuzzy "star". With binoculars, the gas cloud is visible. With a telescope it looks like a ghostly gum-ball suspended in the sky. Get to you local space centre, or astronomy club ASAP. John
