For all those interested, I just found out about a new company that specializes in making custom card decks (http://www.tombstonecards.com/). Both the faces and backs are customizable, and the cool part is that they only have a 24 deck minimum order, instead of the 10,000 minimum through the USPCC. I went over and snagged a sample deck earlier today, and they seem to be pretty good quality (the cards are thicker than normal, making the deck about 1/8" thicker than a deck of Bikes), evidently made from casino-quality stock. I'm gonna play with them for a week or two so I can see how they wear, but they look like they'll last for a while.
P.S. Just for clarification, I'm in no way associated with this company, it just seemed like something you guys might like to know about ;-)

There's also Card Shark. Their custom decks must be printed in quantities of 400, but they can do small runs of particular gimmicked cards (click on "online card builder" to see their card-customizer/designer).

1/8" thicker than Bikes!? That's a lot thicker.

Still, it's definitely weird at first, but now that I've been playing with them I'm actually starting to like them. It's really tough to get them to warp; I've done a couple of pop-up moves with no noticeable lasting side effects (ie warps), and they still fan smoothly. Scott, thanks for the info on Card Shark. It sounds pretty cool as well.

Does sound interesting what is the finish, is it glossy or matt. do you have a 2/4 indices choice?

Shininess is about the same as my deck of bikes (which makes sense since they're plastic coated). I know the faces are fully customizable, so you could do any indices you wanted. That said, I'm not sure what the basic preset options are for faces.
