I want to seperate a C/S gimmick. I assume it's glued together. Any advice before I start prying. Thanks

Try not to bend it.
Good luck, Mobius |

If it is glued together, try soaking it in acetone for a couple of days.

Do you know who made it? That might help. I'm also curious. Why?

I dropped my Johnson c/s and it split in two. It was glued.

It's a Johnson C/S, I wish to make a coin card. It's an effect invented by Steve Dusheck and available on his CD. To my knowledge no one has stolen it yet.

RCP,
I did break a double headed coin (shell type) by simply smacking it down flat on a hard surface and it popped on the 2nd go with no damage to the coin! SD's Coin/Card is exactly what I used it for! |

On ebay they are selling Funkey, another of Dusheck tricks on the DVD, it is not too expensive and come with the gimmick for the key, that is what you need (on a quarter size) for the Coin/card, and you also ended with Funkey that is a great trick by Dusheck...
I am not selling Funkey, I bought one, that's all.. |

Take a razer blade and find the mid between both coins and tap lightly with a hammer and it should split apart and turn it as you go. This always works for me. Good luck and be carefull.

If you follow his instructions on the cd you can make a suitable gimmick easily, without destroying a C/S.

The best way is to use a blowtorch type of lighter and hold the coin with tweezers. Put the flame up to the copper side of the coin, and wait until it gets almost red hot. Then drop it on a tile type of surface from a few inches until it comes apart.
This has worked for me very well, when other methods have not. But do so at your own risk. Good luck! |
