FYI: Kinko's is a rip off... they charge like $2 a copy! Try Staples... $0.39

Can anyone read the 0630 pamphlet?
I cant see the picture to understand the gaff assembly. Also, the stupid joke about hanging the envelope on the wall threw me off too? (I know, I'm tired and didn't get the joke!) |

The hype about this effect seems to have died.

If I'd ever receive mine, maybe I could hype it.

I love these effects!
GGarcia, why can you find motivation to tear and restore a card but it seems you have a problem with finding motivation for cutting and restoring a card? Just a curious thought that made me scratch my head that is all. Also I feel you have concentrated too much on the actual DVD and its functionality than the actual effects. I agree the lack of play all function is annoying but I do not watch these for fun, (well I do a bit!) but they are for learning an effect, or two or three or more in this case. I also would like to say that I think from a working point of view Angel and Angel Redux are great for perfroming as everything is contained and the gimmicks very clever. 0630 agreed is hard to see but I understood it with a bit of time and attention and is a VERY clever idea with minimal set up compared to some T&R's about. It is a shame there have been problems with the postage of these effects as they are stunning in my personal opinion. Ben |

I agree with Ben, they are pretty sharp effects, expensive for the entire package, but fairly practical and I expect will be effective

Nechto,
sorry, but I do not find Hotspot, Angel and Angel redux as favorable as you do. you have your opinion and I have mine. I just don't see any valid reason to do these effects. I never said that the angel gimmicks werent clever. as a matter of fact I say in my review that they fooled me. not every effect is for everyone and these effects were not for me. if you came up with a good routine for these effects then I am very happy for and I hope you have great success in performing them. as for the dvd, yes I did pay a lot of attention to the dvd and its functionality. I spent $70 for five effects therefore I feel I have the right to critique every aspect of what my money was spent on. I convert vhs and other video formats to dvds as a side gig therefore I have a little knowledge about this. it should not matter if its a wedding dvd or an instructional dvd, they should flow uninterrupted and menus should not be deep and confusing. if youre happy with the functionality then that's all that matters. 0630 - as stated above my thoughts on this was not on the effect but on the deliverable. you may feel that 3/4" x 1/2" picture is satisfactory but to me it is not. if your eyes can make everything out then feel fortunate that age has not gotten to you yet. I wish I still had your eyesight. I agree with Xcath1 that $70 is a bit steep for the entire package. In my opinion the best effect in the package is Making Ends Meet. |

It is a very, very clever effect, and as a magician, I love it.
However, I think this is more for magicians - some laypeople I showed it to made comments regarding the cutting and me carrying a cutter/knife with me. That is a lot, given the fact that most laypeople keep their opinions for themselves, except you perform in a very familiar situation where everybody is free to speak up. A young women told me that she suspected the cutter to be the trick - after all, why not simply tear the card in two? Despite the fact that she was dead wrong, her comments made me think a lot . . . Actually I never been a fan to TnR card type of effects because it's not practical, but this concept are so direct yet visual. trust me guys.. it goes straight to your routine, because it's so practical to execute. thanks to huron for releasing this.
