Hi folks:
Does anybody do the pen through tongue gag? If so, how's the reaction from spectators? BAT |

I used to do it. I saw Harry Anderson do it on television and he got a great responce: "EEWWWW!!!"
I would still do it except I lost it! I suggest doing it AFTER someone uses the pen to sign a bill because I don't think to many people will want to touch it after it has seemingly gone through your tounge.

Every once in a while I use my Pen Thru Dollar to do it. I just go running out of a store or some place with a pen sticking into my check and my mouth open so everyone can see the point inside my mouth. Not exactly magic but a great prank and people freak out!

I guess it depends on the venue and the audience. If I saw this done in a restaurant setting, I'd definitely complain to the management (the idea in a restaurant is to entertain... not freak people out). For a group of younger (teenage/college) kids, it might be okay, but I think you'd be pushing it at a company picnic or a hospitality suite. Think before you act.... otherwise, you might not be asked back to act again.

I agree that its a fun thing to do but in the right situation, I do this but strickly when I am out with the lads for a few beers, I don't use it in my working performances at all, I don't think its the right place to use it!

I agree, a bar is a great place to do this sort of thing. Plus you get a great reaction out of your friends if you try to hand it out to one of them.Be careful of the flying fists...lol..

Agree with all of the above. You need to pick your moment and the company! You can also use objects other than a pen to great effect. BBQ skewers come to mind, screwdrivers and so forth.
If you like this kind of visual effect, look out for Tom Mullica's 2" contact lens. I carry this with me from time to time and always has a great impact.
