Hey guys, I need to find a version of Linda Ronstadt's song called Somewhere Out There. BUT I either need there to be NO voice or a very quiet voice. I know a lot of you are good with technology so perhaps somebody knows how to get rid of the voice... or just quiet it down.

Thanks guys all help appreciated.
Oh .. and I kinda need it for Wedensday Night if possible!

Thanks again!

Hi Daniel,

Did you try to find via internet the song ? Many musician recording the songs they play and put them on internet.
Otherwise you might search for a version where the voice is seperate from the music in the balance left / right).
My last option would be to contact a local recording studio to get this done.

I know I might not be a big help, but your question is very interesting and me too, I would like to know the best way to do so.

Oliver.

There are some websites out there that sell karaoke tracks, and some of those may well send them as downloads when purchased. I would check there. Otherwise, there are devices which will remove (most of) the vocals from some songs. The extent of vocal removal will depend upon how the song was originally recorded. In these days of digital audio, it would probably be more difficult to remove the vocals. In the old days...you could take one side (left or right channel), take the track out of phase, and that would delete most of them. I'm not a digitally-inclined person, however. I was king of the splicing block/razor blade editing, and won several awards for such.

I actually ended up buying a program that takes the words out of all song.

Well technically the theatre owner did, and its on their computer.
