A friend of mine (my Landlord, actually) is in the printing business. Purchasing a box of old newspaper printing supplies at an auction, he found two engraved image plates...of a Magician!
http://www.amazingearl.com/images/UnknownPlates.jpg He's determined from the technology that they are probably from the late 1920s or early '30s. I told him that they were definitely not Harry Houdini (which didn't make his day), but that I couldn't identify the man. However, I knew of a group that probably could. Anyone have a clue who this dapper gentleman with the Passe' Bottles and strait jacket might be? Thanks! Dan Wolfe, aka. "The Amazing EARL" |

He looks a little like Nate Leipzig, but I'm sure it's not him.
