I prefer Lior's on his Invisible Touch DVD.
http://www.liormanor.com/vernon/theinvisibletouc.html His touches make this the perfect routine for many different venues. The footage of his performing it in the trade show area make it worth it just of that alone. Tony |

Does one have anything to do with the other?
Looks like different effects to me Don |

Also's and Lior's are different presentations of the same effect.

I have to recommend Lior Manors Invisible Touch. Not only is the bending and other material great in association with the Invisible Touch the bonus poker deal is the best presentation I've seen.

Aldo lectured in Baltimore about 3 weeks ago and he performed this trick. It plays extremely well. Many attendees wanted that video.

Hi
Thanks for your kind words The Routine I use is more for the real world and not for magic clubs. I use it in trade shows or use it in mentalisem shows to show that I can control a person to lose in Poker. It has only 3 phases and I am only proud about the money gag that I have added. I am sure that Also routine is very good and I love his persona as well I think you should also try to find some old magic magazines with many 10 poker ideas Lior

Lior's is easy to do (technically), very visible, very straight forward and you can concentrate on your audience and the messages you would like to convey to them (in a trade show environment).
The money gag is great and really elevates the whole routine! |

I actually like Lior's and Aldo's routine. I even suggested to Lior that he should consider adding Aldo's ending to his routine.
My thinking is that I will mix and match a bit of both, but will use Aldo's ending because it's a strong ending for a mentalism routine. Greg

I've just got back from Aldo's lecture, and his was one of the more entertaining presentations of the routine I've seen.
However, you may want to track down Bob Farmer's series in Magic in the late nineties where he spent about six months examining the effect. Take care, Ian |

Hmmm, when you talk about Aldo, Lior and Bob Farmer together comparing one effect that they all present it can get pretty interesting. I've just ordered Lior's DVD and after reading sooo many posts on how great this bonus card effect is, well I'd have to say, if I like it and want to use it I'd end up buying all 3 of these guys version to study. All three gents are extremely creative guys. But hey, that's just me!

I wonder if this is the same one I am looking for. David Roth showed me and my wife this about a year and a half ago at Fantasmas.

I have used Lorayne's, "Ten Card Poker Deal," for over 30 years. I just started using Colombini's version - nice prediction phase at the end - no moves required in Colombini's version - also like Colombini's touches, such as, how some phases of the routine play out in different ways depending on what the spectator does - in the last phase, the spectator shuffles the whole packet of ten cards - maximizes the sense that the spectator has control - all seems very natural. The routines are similar in terms of impact but Colombini adds some nice touches. I have tried his routine several times - plays very well - highly recommended.

I met Aldo about two years ago at a Jersey Lecture, Great and very funny guy. Went and had some food after still killing the waitresses. He loves to creat simple and direct magic so I might have to look into this.

It seems that it (they) all come from my original routining of the 10-card poker deal all those years ago (see it now in THE CLASSIC COLLECTION)- it's easy to add your own "touches." HL (You might want to check some of the versions in BEST OF FRIENDS, 3.)

"in the last phase, the spectator shuffles the whole packet of ten cards" or do they think they have all ten?

What about Nick Trost`s Mississippi Poker, 10 card packet trick? I have it and use it. It`s a very good 5 phase routine. How does it compare?
