I just purchased the Cammirand Academy Glo-Thread for use with the Gypsy thread routine. Mr. Oulett offers a great deal of insight into this routine in the booklet, however, I am wondering if someone who has performed this version of the gypsy thread could recommend a good light to use. I'm looking for what brand/ model of light you utilize if you have purchased one. Thank you in advance.

A smaller state will require a smaller lamp. I have one single lamp (medium powered) that I use in my standard show. I think I spent about $150.00 for it. However, if you watch my performance here, I was on a HUGH STAGE at The Eisemann Center. I think the stage was about 60+ feet...maybe more? Not sure the exact size... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCkwbBLwsIM As you saw, the thread showed up pretty well. Wish it were brighter, but this video was shot from WAY BACK in the nose bleed section of the theater with a digital zoom being used, so it degraded the quality a bit. For this gig, I went out and purchased two high powered UV Lamps and had one on each side of the stage flooding UV in on both sides along with my smaller lamp that I had about 10 feet in front of me shooting the light up to me (I was on a stool). I was pretty happy with the results. I got all my lighting from Magic Etc. which is the Magic Shop out here in Ft. Worth. They also sell Pyro, Lighting, Sound equipment, etc. Contact them at (817) 926 2442. Ask for Derrick and tell him I sent you. He'll take good care of ya. Good luck! Christopher Lyle
