I use a remote magnetic ankle switch for an effect. Occasionaly I have a premature launch of my effect (When my feet brush past each other), other times I miss the switch, and have to readjust. I can wire any type of switch in the device. Any thoughts? (Currently magnet on Velcro strap on one ankle, switch on other ankle) Triggers within 1.5 inches.

I'm now finding out that I'm not missing the switch. I happen to be too close to the antenna which causes interference. I moved the antenna from where I stand, so things have improved. Still need some suggestions on triggers.

Chris,
I've not had mine trigger prematurely, but I occassionally have a situation where the magents need to really be close and static for a moment to trigger. I've gotten used to watching the LED light on the iCue2 to get my proximity and duration calibrated. That seems to have helped me a bit. Dan. |

I used an ankle switch with a VSM and I had the same problem and til someone gave me a hint. Put the switches on you ankles so that you have to make a T with you feet for them to go off. Then when you need to activate the switch you put your feet together in a T formation and it worked every time. It also never went off prematurely since you do not put your feet in the position.

That's it! The "T" formation is the answer. (I modified it to a "V" with the same result as it looks a bit more natural to me) Thanks for the great suggestion. No more "waddling" around on stage. Chris

I used the V formation in a show tonight and I was quite relaxed. Everything went perfectly. Again, my thanks.

I am glad this formation worked for you. It made a big difference in my show also and I was never "caught" controlling my music.

I've been practicing with a front of leg/back of leg switch. It is working out well too. It makes a nice stance for my snowstorm. I rise to the occasion. Fun stuff!

Does anyone know if the remoe ankle switch for the icue2 will allow you to fade outthe music or is it simply an on/off function? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Most ankle switches (the one I had with my Wireless Wizardry ShowTech) are strictly ON/OFF. Other operations have to be done with the full button remote.

Hmmmmm. Not good.
Was trying tofi9nd a way to use it for a fade ot, etc. If I have to use the belt for that, I might as well just stick to that then. I don't really do too many routines where I won't have a free hand. Thanks for the help Steve.
