I just watched this: This is great! Really! Is this the kind of 'exposure' we are suppose to fear? *LOL* The only thing that... ehrm... move ... has in common with the pass is that the kid call it 'the pass'. I'm all for these kind of videos. Let these kids 'teach' all the vital techniques. We couldn't ask for better cover. I would love an audience that expects my passes, doubles and what not to look like the stuff these kids show. It's faro brilliant! |

OK, last night I was speechless. (I had also had two liters of Maibock, but that's beside the point.)
Today I watched the clip again and something quite serious concerns me. Where was that filmed? In the US? The kid has problems...uh...well...how can I say this politely? The kid can't speak English. Hey, that's OK! I live in Germany. A lot of people here can't speak English. (Well, some.) No problemo. Except: why is a kid who can't speak English explaining in English how to do anything at all? This bothers me. It kind of gives a whole new perspective to this thread, in my mind. But on Mickey's advice, I'm off to watch a DL video. (And Josh: that other Josh's video gave me the creeps. That guy needs a lot of help. He...well...he talks to himself and other weird stuff.) I just watched a couple more videos. Does this website expose magic? Yes it does. Is it a problem? I agree with Tina. It isn't. I don't want to be vulgar, but the website is nothing more than videos of kids playing with themselves. That's it. It's...well...puerile? (I personally don't like strange words that I don't understand, but maybe this one fits here.) Here's another frighteningly funny video from the site: http://www.learnmagictricks.org/video.php?v=15665 The term "Panty Host" almost ruined my monitor. How much spewed coffee can a monitor take? So I'm going away now. (The crowd cheers!). I'm not going to debate an idiot, and I'm not going to argue the ethics of exposure when what we're really talking about is a bunch of 14 year-olds playing with themselves on the internet. Let's be above all that, and end this thread. Bye bye. I love you all. |
