I was curious to know if anyone out there has Design in Mind and has performed it for an audience either stand up or close up? Review anyone?

Design in Mind is suitable for both stand up or close up. Basic effect you can duplicate what specatator draw. It is clever method, but the only drawback, the spectator only can choose the symbol from the cards given.

I took the effect and changed it for parlor.
Easel and artist drawing pads. Pluses: Easy to do. (Almost disappointingly easy.) I have had good reactions to this. You can use this method to do other types of effects. Negatives. Can choose only 1 of 10 designs (as mentioned) but in this day of computers and color printers you could take the method and make your own designs and expand on the concept. If lighting is not great two to the colors used can be confused by the spectator and cause this to fail. If you do it exactly as described in the instructions and given to certain people it could fail, or you have to repeat a phase as described in the instructions. (I don’t like needing to do this). You can improve this with out too much effort. My bright 19 year old son got very close to figuring out the method. ======================================================= Punch line. It works, it’s easy. But you may want to make some improvements. I like it enough that I have kept it so far. The place I bought this list it as "sold out".
An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.

Negatives:
Requires lots of memory unless you have a crib. Takes more time than I would like to ascertain out the design. |
