Hi everyone, I've just recently sparked an interest in thimbles and picked up the Vernet silver nesting thimbles, but it seems like some of them are a bit big for my fingers and was wondering how the thimble should ideally fit on your finger. Can anyone help me with this?

I am currently using Shoot Ogawa's thimbles . The thimbles' size fit for most of the asians' fingers . It is a little small than the Vernet.

Thanks. I actually just placed an order for them. I didn't think that thimbles would be that big lol.

The Automatic Thimbles video (vhs only) has some great ideas with the nesting thimbles. Don't throw out your Vernet thimbles.

Oh, I'm not. I'm still gonna work with them, it's just I have to figure out how to make them fit my fingers better. They're a bit too loose and when I practice doing the basic production of one thimble it flies off my finger.

Buy some putty from staples, the kind used to hang things on walls and such. put just a tiny bit on the inside near the top, your finger will adhere slightly to the putty when it goes into the thimble, just enough so that it won't slip off but not enough so that you can't take it off easily.

Thimples aren't my thing, their simply too hard and you cant see them that well.

Sure you can see them well, I've done thimbles for a little under 100 people, they're good for small stand-up type shows and they're not much more difficult than billiard balls, easier in some cases.
