I am looking for a source for force matrices for an effect -- 4x4 or 5x5 matrices which force a predicted number; any ideas of where I might find some?

There are many sources for this effect where the methodology is explained as part of the explanation of the effect that was using the principle. However, the best explanation of the forcing matrix itself is free and is on Doug Dyments's excellent web site http://www.deceptionary.com Look under the "Useful Information" section.
I hope this helps. Mike P.S. BTW, if you also peruse Doug's "Products" page, you will find many great products--including one of my favorite magic booklet ("Mindsights"). A brief look at the contents of that booklet will demostrate why I like the booklet so very much.

The specific page at deceptionary is How To Construct Forcing Matrices.

Another source is Richard Busch's booklet "Number...Please?", pp. 23-28.
