I have manufactured my universal utility clip since the 70's, it was good enough for people to knock it off and sell it in their lectures.
My clip is $5 and holds a jumbo coin, a full deck of bridge or poker cards, a spread of 6 coins, appearing cane, stocks of cards (used by Jeff McBride, Lance Burton, Irv Weiner, and Paul Gertner. You can use it as a ball holder as well. I have also used it as a vanisher with a slight modification. http://bigduck.tripod.com/id10.html It received 3 stars in Genii (they didn't give four stars to utility devices back then).

It was one of those things that when I saw it, I realized immediately what it was, or at least what it resembled, which probably spawned those knock-offs. I kicked myself for not thinking of it first. The knock-offs were usually cheaply made and did not hold nearly as well. Too slick.

The wider size make for less tension on cigarettes and can hold 8 or so at a time. I have a booklet of ideas with it in the works.
