I played around with this more today and I found my own way to work with this.

Can someone answer these questions about Third Degree Burn and Third Degree Burn 2.0? I think this routine would fit great in my "walk-around" set. I'm leaning toward the 2.0 based on nothing but gut feeling.
1) what is the size of the gimmick (actual size, in cm/inches/fingers or anything which gives me an idea of its length, width, and thickness)? 2) from the moment you do the "secret motion", how long do the blisters last? Thanks! |

I like the trick but I find it difficult to use while wearing jeans.

Hello all:
I just saw this thread, and thought that I would respond to Cristian Vidrascu regarding my "Third Degree Burn" (and also my newer "Third Degree Burn 2.0"): 1. The gimmick for both tricks is dimensionally the same size: 2 1/4 inches square, and about 1/4 inch thick (with a nut on the top to hold everything together). When I was developing the trick way-back-when, I wanted to make sure it was large enough for people with big mitts, but also not to awkward for those who have smaller hands. I perform the trick without any problem in jeans (not "too" tight obviously), dress pants, shorts, etc. 2. Regarding how long the blisters last, is a difficult question to answer because it is up to the individual performer. Everyone's flesh is different, so sometimes certain people have to really "press down" hard and for a long time to get a suitable impression that will show up and last for a while. For others, they just need a medium bit of pressure. In my case, I like to get a really "gross" looking blister, so I press down with a lot of pressure. lol.....But overall, I would say that the blisters stay quite visible on my hand for about 45 seconds to 1 minute---plenty of time to do the climax and blow the spectators away! Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you for your time. Best regards, Jason |

Jason, I bought the prop and I think it is really well designed, as well as very well explained. I have found myself putting it away in my magic drawer, for walk-around events, because it takes up too much pocket space (not to say it is too large, I just carry too many things), but I am looking for a way to do a quick "think of a card" trick, and I will play around with some original routine ideas. I will let you know how that goes after trying it out in "the real world".
