Hi everyone,
I have started doing this trick to good effect BUT the one weak point (In my mind) is the bringing up the closed left hand(loaded with the ring) underneath the closed right hand... it just seems a bit "dodgy" to me. Anyone doing this trick have any alternative handlings OR method of getting the loaded left hand up to the right. I know it's only me that knows what I am doing etc, but some bits of business just work better than others. Regards Alan PS before I go, I think Mark Wilsons book is excellant and read it every day, it's just packed to the hilt with great tricks and effects. |

Hi there,
I was just about to post a post on exactly the same subject!! Well to help you, when I perform the trick I just do it as Mark does and make a funny comment whilst doing it to take the heat off it, I don't really see any other way of doing it! However my question was how to produce the ring? One of my mates uses a purse with it in... any other good suggestions much appreciated. Cheers Andy |

A GREAT way to produce a finger ring for any ring & string routine is to do "Bachelor's Thread" by Raj Madhok (from an issue of "The Minotaur"). It's based on the old "threading a needle" rope move.
The ring just "pops" into view, seemingly out of nowhere. It's quite shocking AND is VERY easy to do. PM me if you need more info.

I use Dan Fleshman's production from a purse frame. Never fails to elicit "oooos" and "ahhhs."
