Mitch...Time loops in alternate reality worlds.
Dumb I know but opened possibilities for a series. I would think Burton would have had Johnny Depp in Lincoln's chair!

Mulholland Drive. There was no ending, nothing was resolved, nothing was revealed. I just sat there saying "wtf did I just watch". That's David Lynch for you.

My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

I liked the ending and hated the rest of it. The part where the little wimp was under water and saw the Good Fairy and it falls on him. Cool. Also the 'future' skinny humans archeological dig was kind of neat. That's about it. P.U.

Who ever thought that after a long depressing movie an even more depressing ending would set things right? LOL

The crap happy ending in Little Shop of Horrors and the insipid audience approved upbeat ending for Pretty Woman.
Total Recall's ending was insipid, but then so was the movie.

Total Recall was an interesting case though...the Ending was tipped in the beginning when he was being put under. If you listen carefully for the clue...the tech who is putting in the program for his vacation says something like "Blue Skies on Mars...that's a new one"...thus ALL of the movie after he goes under is his insane ravings...it never happened and he's eventually a lunatic and 'under' the whole time.
There is one Doctor scene (been awhile since I saw it) with an intervention where he is loony but a real Doctior appears in his dream to try and break him out of it but he kills the Doc. I'll have to see it again. Most everyone who saw the movie and didn't connect the dots from the beginning was 'had'.

What's ironic is that 2001:A SPACE ODYSSEY had an ending which made me groan even though it still remains one of my all-time favorites. The exasperating groaner is the appearance of that fetus which was left Unexplained. I understand its purpose was to leave the movie open to interpretation. But throughout the whole movie I had been so eagerly anticipating the appearance of the extraterrestrials. After all that build-up, the ending terribly disappoints and exasperates. Despite all that, the movie 2001 still remains among my favorite top ten.
