I was looking for something that would add a good laugh with a bit of shock into one of my routines and I've always been interested in the head drop illusion but I'm not sure where to find in depth instruction on it.

I can't remember where it is but if you look around the instructions, which are not difficult, can be found.

A version of it can be purchased at http://www.pubtricks.com as a download.
I don't know if it is the same method as found on Zebulon's site but it's there for anybody interested. |

All the references provided to date require one or both hands to be hidden...Yet, the original (?) - and magically the most pleasing in my view - allow for free use of both hands...as shown here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBXkH8oIHkc and here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtWEb2hs6lU and here http://boingboing.net/2012/10/25/hallowe......ick.html All the references given in prior posts rely on wire to support the clothing while the head is bent forward and the truck is lowered down - as explained (interminably???) in the you-tube vids on the net... The dealers mentioned sell what you see in clothing stores - c++t-&&nger* !!!! All the apparatus shown in the vids I have provided are custom-made 'rig'.... made the 'old-fashioned' way in which an enthusiastic magician goes into a workroom and saws and glues and ties and electrifies and nails and so on....All so-called 'gimmicks' are actually pieces of magical apparatus. The rig is simply a framework on which to hang clothes...there is no set formula for its construction, no maps, no set of designs...yer have to do what our forebears did (hurrah) and DIY...Do what Houdini did: make it!. Mr H spent more time in his workshops and with his artisan assistants than he ever did on the stage... Sometimes, yer just got to do it the magical way! |

If you want to "electrify" then please, do yourself a favor, do not "electrify" all magic aside if you're going to use electricity you need to know what you're doing before you start a fire or hurt yourself.

That is of course unless it's something simple you're doing like a couple wires, I'm just saying to be extremely safe any time you try to rig something, if you're gonna do it, do it right.
