Hello everybody at the magic Café!
My name is John Neely! I've loved magic for as long as I can remember. I can trace my love for magic to a trick I received in a happy meal at a Jack in the Box fast food resturant at the age of four. I've been performing shows since high school. It was also in high school when I started working on slight of hand. My specialty is cards. I have several tricks published in Card FIle II by Jerry Mentzer. I am very excited to have found a forum to discuss magic ideas with other magicians. I'm from Iowa and there are very few magicians where I'm from and even fewer who do serious slight of hand. The first post I read was an idea from a young man from Mexico (I think) who shared a pretty cool idea he came up with after working on Paul Harris's Interlaced vanish (a trick I've done for years). One of the responses to his post was Harry Lorayne reminding us that Interlaced Vanish was the very first trick to appear in the very first issue of Apocolypse. How cool is that! = ) Needless to say, I'm looking forward to hanging out more at the Magic Café. John |

Hi there John,
Welcome to the Magic Café. I think you’ll have a lot of fun in here. Sounds like you have a fair amount of card work experience. They have a pretty good card section here. The topic boards and the members are real interesting and helpful. It covers just about any interest in the art and even the sideline interests. Have fun. Muggs |
