I recently purchased a Wandering CD for the first time. Previously I've been using Fraidy Cat's Revenge, but I liked the "portability" of this one. Today I went to set it up for a show I'm having tomorrow. I've put a picture of a beach ball on the cd. Unfortunately, it sometimes gets caught when going into the load chamber (by the edge of the picture). I've taped it all around the edges with double-stick tape, but it still gets caught.
Has anyone else had this problem? I know others that use this item with photos on the CD's with no problems. Brian |

How bout an adhesive cd label?

Yeah, I was thinking of that today.
Ken Scott had PM'd me with a good suggestion, but it still didn't work properly at the show yesterday. Today I was thinking whether or not the adhesive label would work better than a piece of paper being applied with double-stick tape. I tried a couple of cd's of I have, and they seemed to work fine. So that will be the route I will be going next time. Thanks for the tip. Brian |

Ha, that's so weird, I recently bought the wandering cd and my plan was to make it look like a beachball and use it in conjunction with Sadie Seal.
I haven't got around to it yet but have tested the routine out using a CD. It's obviously not as logical but I'm wondering whether it needs to be. Anyhow, I digress. My CD occasionally gets stuck (without any stickers/paper on it). Does it get stuck on the first tip? I'm thinking starting from the other side will probably annoy our magical sensibilities but not make much difference to the children. George |

When I first got mine, the first tip (left side sliding to right) didn't get stuck. But since trying to make the gimmick opening a little bigger, it now gets stuck on that first tip. So I just skip it. Like you said, it really doesn't matter to the kids.
It's a fun little item, and I'm looking forward to using it again soon (with a sticker label). Brian |

I'm just looking for a GOOD wandering CD prop...I've purchased it three times and three times it's only lasted a total of 4 or 5 shows. Maybe I shouldn't be jumping up and down on it...
Seriously though, I run through these cheap plastic things so quickly...anyone know of a quality one...or is that just a ridiculous request for an item like this....which would be too bad because I do get a LOT of milage out of the routine... --Jon |
