I know I am not the only one who is looking for the perfect wand for my C&B routine.
I have bought so many types and always frustrated: the wand was too weak, not well balanced for my spins, looking cheap with my engraved Sherwoods, etc.... My wait is over! Today I received a cocobolo wand (street wand) from Frank Starsini and I was really impressed. This wand is well balanced and very easy to handle. The weight is just right and it doesn't look inexpensive. I accepted the advice to buy it in cocobolo and this goes very well with all my cups. It is slightly thicker than the usual wand and I like this a lot. It looks solid as it is a single piece of wood: only my wallet knows how many wands did I brake expecially the ends. It will not damage my cups as it is wood (but always use some care of course). The service from Frank was first class althougt I had to wait a bit as it is custom hand made. The price was in line with others wands and I would say cheaper. I am not often happy with my purchases and today is a lucky day. Well done Frank! |

Well good for you magicorik! What would magic be without wands. . . ?

I have to agree... I have the same wand and it is the best I have ever owned.
My question to Frank would be what is the difference between the Street Wand and the flipstick wand. They look about the same with the exception of the milling near the tips. Is that the case or are there some other differances that I am not seeing. Again best wand ever... Great Job with these things Frank. Best Shawn.

Frank makes really nice stuff. I don't own any of his wands, but his bags are amazing. They are the nicest bags I have seen (not just out of the bags for cups, but they are the nicest of any bag). He also has great customer service.

Thanks for your comments. The flipstick wands are made as Jim Cellini told me to make them. just under 1/2 inch in diameter and 12" long.
The street wands are much "beefier". And a little longer. Thanks to Matt for the comments about the bags. We get requests a lot now for custom sizes, shapes, colors, inside lining colors, etc. They are wonderful for storing your nice props inside. I'm going to have one made to store my small magician's table in and I had a recent request to make one for the growing/shrinking head illusion as well.
