If I only had the time this is something I've always wanted to participate in..
http://www.redbullflugtagusa.com I'm wondering what other wacky things others would do if time permitted. No... " spend the afternoon in my hammock" comments please. I'm speaking of adventurous things you'd like to do but cannot afford the time. Best, Tim Day 15 |

If I had the time.... and skill, I would love to be part of a musical.

My master's degree will be done soon (two or three months more), and I intend to get back into community theater. Flugtag would be fun too!

Gosh, I haven't done community theatre in YEARS! I always got the clueless fool who had to be kept out of the loop of whatever the plot was!

Community theater 100%. Dang! We should scrap all of these bills and family obligations and put on a play.

I've got three things I'd love to do (I'm not including traveling the U.S.) if I had the time. I would love to get more in-depth with my swing dancing and tango and begin to enter competitions, I'd love to take some more ice skating lessons (I took a class in college as the leisure science requirement), and I'd also love to take some more tap-dancing lessons (which I haven't done since I was 12). Most of my dance class loved ballet....I loved tap more than ballet.
I am actually doing something I've wanted to do since my college days. I've been studying for my sign language interpreter certification. I'm looking at registering for the written test in about a week or so. If I pass that, then I'll have the interview and practical tests to pass.
The only stupid question is the one not asked.

Thru-hike the Appalachian trail. I have done a couple of sections, but I would love to take 6 months and do it end to end.
If you can pull it off in a biker bar without being violated by a corn dog, more power to you.

Sail down the Mississippi river, Minnesota to Louisiana on a raft- I've heard told it's still possible to do so...
Along the same theme: walk the length of continental USA.

To spend a year roaming North America, the same thing with Australia and New Zealand. Just enjoy the scenery, especially in the rockies.

I haven't done community theater in ages either. That one stands as the most likely to happen.
I would also love to participate in the Amsterdam 7s Rugby Tournament

The trip took 84 days and along the way, I met some of the nicest people you could imagine. I also passed a few folks who were crossing the country themselves- one guy on a bike with a suitcase strapped to the front, and a guy walking across the USA pulling a skateboard with all his stuff tied to it. It's certainly doable, just go as far as you can, sleep, repeat. Good luck! |

Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.
