I was attending the Richard Ross' Memoriam Gala yesterday in Holland and saw (for the fourth time in 2 years) the French manipulator Norbert Ferre perform.
In my eyes (and I know nothing of manipulation acts) he is a World Champion. I have never seen a pure manipulation act that has more character, humor, magic, poetry and virtuosity than Norbert's. I was wondering how well known he is in the U.S.? This guy is simply UNBELIEVABLE!

Cheers mate Leon

I saw him on TV 5 a few weeks ago. In his act I especially like his deck back in card case. He starts like some stupid guy. But... oh man when he starts those manipulations...

Norbert Ferre is an act you don't want to miss. I saw him first at the SAM in New Orleans and then again on TV5 and once again at FISM...in fact twice at FISM and I could have seen him again!!
Outstanding, incredible and funny...offstage he is a gentleman of magic...he will be featured in an upcoming MAGIC issue. Cheers, Shawn 2003 FISM Award winner |

If you want to see Norbert Ferre, and you can get to New York City, he will be performing his FISM Grand Prix stage act at the 97th Annual Salute To Magic on April 8, 2006. Check out the website: http://www.sampa1.com for more information on the magical line-up and ticket ordering information. Believe me, this will be a show you do not want to miss.

I don't think Norbert is competing this year (lucky for the rest of us) but he did tell me at the 'Magic Circle Centenuary Celebrations' that he has been asked to perform in one of the gala shows.
Norbert lives in France and looking at the stamps in his passport he has travelled and performed all over the world. He is probably the most modest magicians I have ever met. And he's really sexy as well ; ) |
