Hello all,
First off I want to say that I miss the Café. The people are great, and the forum is kept to a very high and organized standard. A few years back I started reading through the Café every night. It was a great relaxing time that has taught me sooo much about magic, more than I think I would have ever expected me to learn! As time went on I got busy with my job, was reading more and more online forums and was traveling a lot and wasn't able to keep up with it so I had to decide what forums I would have to cut out of my time.. Unfortunately because magic is a passion and hobby I had to cut out reading the Café and a few other magic forums (as well as a few flight sim forums that I miss). However I never stopped performing magic for people, and learning new routines. Well things have settled down and I have some more time, retired a few forums I was reading and am glad to be back at the Café. I have finally been working on some of the routines that have orginally got me interested in magic when I was a kid. I've been doing the Tommy Wonder cups and balls for quite a few months now as well as Paul Gertners Cups and steel ball bearings routine just to name a few. My interest in magic is purely a hobby, and I don't perform for pay. I always carry a few tricks around with me, and travel with a small "magic kit" that changes every few months (people have been getting an extra treat when I bring my Tommy Wonder and Paul Gertner set with me!). For special occasions and holidays, I put together a small 45 min-1 hour set to show family and friends. What the magic Café has opened me up to is amazing, and there are a lot of things I would have never known, seen, and be doing now if it weren't for you great people here! Thanks!! I am 28 from Rhode Island and I am a sound engineer, recording and mixing mostly in remote conditions, dealing with music from classical, rock, hip hop, to broadway, as well as studio acoustical design and studio equipment installation. My hobbies include magic, flight sims, computers, electronics and many others. I'm glad to be back! Stevie Wonder |

Welcome Stevie,
Sounds like your finding the Café to be as useful and great as the rest of us. Thank God for the internet and all it has opened up for so many! I'm still a little from the "old school", but with internet forums, DVDs, and many other things, there is so much more at the fingertips of magicians nowadays than ever before. I'm loving it here too. All the best, Curtis http://www.CurtisMagic.com
