Great discussions! Can't wait to get to know everyone.
Me? I'm 52, and just returning to magic after a 30 year detour. Seems the first wife didn't like magic, should have seen that one coming. 
I do close up. I like impromptu "routines", I don't do "tricks" well, But I love to tell stories. I find that I can almost always win over anyone with some magic, origami or a good story. If that don't work, I'll offer to buy them a pint. Well it's become a long winded introducton so I'll go back to reading what I've missed. Slan Warren

It amazes me how many of us, were away from magic for a time, but back with new zest for the craft! And personally, I think that a magic without a story, is just a trick. But with the right story, it becomes a revelation of wonderment! Then, if someone doesnt like it, I offer to buy them a coffee - not a pint of it, but I think you meant a "pint" of a different sort

(Better late.......) It is good to see that you have found both us here at the Magic Cafe and your way back to Magic!!!!, It has been said that if you leave something and then come back again that it gets you even better on the return, I know that it has worked that way for me!!!
