Hi all. Hank Lee's used to sell a trick called Chocolate Surprise. Apparently is was difficult to get from the supplier. I'm working on a candy themed show, and would love to add this effect (it dealt with candy bars). Does anyone know of the trick, have it for sale, etc?
Any other suggestions for candy magic (parlour/stage setting) would be great! Thanks! Jeff

Oh definately have that on my list! If he can get them back in stock in time, I'm all over it! I seem to keep missing the opportunity. Anyone have one they want to sell?

If you don't have the chick/dove pan already buy the dove/chick pan. You can load it with candy , the kids go crazy.

Hmmm, not familiar with Candy Factory. Where would I find info on that?
LOL on the Red M&M's! Thanks for the info. So far, I'm thinking of the Candy Bag, Dove Pan, Square Circle, etc. Haven't come up with solid routines just yet, but working on it. ~J

Oh yeah, thanks for the Trixie Bond info, too. Hank Lee pointed me in her direction as well. I'll email her.

If you go with a candy trick always check with the parents first to ensure that there is no problem with handing out candy. If the Birthday child has type 1 diabetes, for instance, it pays to find out ahead of time. I've performed for children with both diabetes and coeliac disease - I always check out the advisability of giveaways ahead of time.

I give out candy suckers in my show at the end. I do carry a few suger-free suckers just in case.

Oh definately. I've been at this for years, got a waiver, etc for candy, rabbit, balloons, etc. You just can't be too careful these days! Thanks for the reminder.

The effect you are thinking of is indeed Candy suprise, it is a misers dream effect with the miniature chocolate bars. It has not been on the market for a while, but I just looked at my instructions for the effect. It is by Professor Higgins Magic I did a search and he cam be found at http://higginsmagic.com/products.php
This is a fun routine lots of audience participation and the magic end holds up well too.
