Hi there peoples.
I've dabbled some with hypnosis doing some simpler effects found in the Encyclopedia of Stage Hypnosis, but I seem to have an unhealthy fascination with psuedo hypnotic effects. I am looking for information on any psuedo hypnotic effects and where they may be found. Things such as the Abnormal Lift, Locked eyes test, Georgia Magnet and the like. Thanks in advance for any info that you are able to provide for me! Mike Frink

Mods, please delete my post. It seems after doing a search that I asked the question some time back. Sorry about the trouble.

Hi Slim,
there are quite a few physical effects you can do. Locking eyes shut Making it imposible to stand up. Making it impossible to lift one leg. Coin hot and cold with a normal coin. Obviously if you have read McGil you have come across pseudo PK Taste and itch. I also love pseudo effects so am well up for exchanging some ideas. Best regards, Anthony

Just thinking about PK Itch makes me itch... *laughs* I love that one...
Could you PM me instructions on the hot and cold coin and the impossible to lift one leg, or at least the resources? I don't remember those ones in any of my reading, but my memory could be off. Mike

I first saw the leg one in Paul Zenon's '100 ways to win a tenner'. It involves a wall. I am sure if you search around you will find it. I'll dig out the book and get a full description PM'd to you.
The hot and cold coin with a normal coin is something I saw Ian Rowland doing at Blackpool Convention. The spectator actually asks you to stop warming/cooling the coin because they can;t take it anymore. I don't want to tip the method even though I had to guess at it. I so hope I have got it wrong and have come up with my own, but I doubt it. Hopefully I will get a chance to ask him this weekend if he attends Tabula Mentis III. Ant

I think I figured out the leg one... Curious about the coin, but I understand if you don't want to tip it.

There is also a method to stop someone getting out of a chair. Do you know that?
