Hehehe It is great when a unexpected situation or story is so funny and gets a great reaction. The key is seeing if you can find a way to recreate that reaction every time.
Keep the stories coming. These are great.

I never did a lot of kids shows, but some. And one reason is the story below. I was doing a magic milk pitcher thing, you know one of those where you get a kid up on stage and pour it in a funnel in his head and then milk his arm and it comes out the other arm, and the like.
Well I had this one kid hopping up and down in the audience trying to volunteer for every trick I asked for an assistant for, so I figured he would be good for the milk picture. He was very active, animated, always moving and bouncing. Well as I poured the milk in the funnel into the top of his head I found out why he was so active and bouncing, he peed all over the stage. Kids laughed, he was real embarassed, birthday mom was real embarrassed as was the kids mother, and I ened up with no finish for the trick.

Actually, Photius, it sounds like the perfect finish to the trick. You pour it in, and let nature do the rest!

I just remember the funniest one ever....
For a couple of years I did a Frosty The Snowman show for daycare centers in January and February. This was for younger kids ages 2-5. At the end of the show I had a teacher come out dressed up as Frosty. Some of the comments I heard where... "that's not Frosty because he is not cold" (they touched Frosty) "Frosty has a big butt" And the best one of all and also the one that made me almost choke was.... "That can't be Frosty becuase Frosty doesn't have boobs!" Yes, a child actually said that. |
