Hello,
In this video, you see the result of an interactive camera trick : two hollow objects are in front of the camera. What is seen through one object is displayed in the other, and vice versa. Sometimes we make a symmetry (so that your left hand looks like your right hand), sometimes we don't. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kd0rCu3teb8 What is not in this video is the perception one have when this trick is used in a "magic mirror" configuration. Ie : the persons who hold the objects are in front of a camera and a screen so that they can see themselves as if they were looking in a mirror. We have played a bit with this prototype, and frankly, even us who are used to such magic mirrors, we were sometimes totally lost. It's incredibly confusing, sometimes you don't realize it's not you who's moving but the other person, etc.. I have no idea how this could be used within a magic show. It may be too geek to be useful, it's only an experience for a few persons at a time, etc... But when you play with it, re-creating magic effects is the first idea that comes to mind (see the coloured ball changes at 1min50 in the video for instance). |
