Really good trick, first saw it on Joshua's Talk about Tricks which in turn made me rummage around to try and find Magic Magazine Sept issue. I think when the spectator places the last two cards on the same packet the convoluted solution imho given in the explanation just doesn't fit with me and that's why I don't perform it much, not clever enough to come up with a suitable solution. Really like the effect though and very mind boggling.

I've been doing this effect lately and I also find it doesn't play as strong to laymen as it does to magicians. My go-to four card coincidence routine is one from Ramon Rioboo's book "Thinking the Impossible" It plays better for me for laymen.
I've also been trying to Benjamin Earl's routine from his notes "F for Fiction" it's good but the procedure is a tad complicated for laymen to grasp. I haven't figured out how to make it easy to follow my instructions so I can get the maximum impact. I'll be sticking with Ramon's routine for now. |

I just watched it on my DVD and the fact they shuffle cards is pretty darn impressive IMHO.
Once down to two cards to deal, pretty clear what you need to do once cards are dealt. Need to be quick on feet..... You already discarded cards once, right? ' |

Or since you flip over the face up pile down after the 1st deal, flip the remaining cards face up
They deal starting into two piles again, but deal face up or FLIP face down... Once down, you flip these entire packets over Of course, this method would work best forcing 4 indifferent cards which is my main focus since 7QA3 basically spell "LOVE" |
