What do you make of the ad copy with reference to the news reports of the "hypno robberies?"
Is this possible? In the past Ive played around with trancing out checkout operators by eliciting their high criertia(values)around their job. It made them go into states where they opened up told me their life story as the queue grew. They seemed oblivious to the irritated customers. I had to almost physically take the change from them and move. It didn't work with all of them but a few it really had a real impact. Do you think its possible to get them to hand money over? Or are these "reports" hokey? http://www.conversational-hypnosis.com/ |

Can you confuse an idiot? Obviously yes. Can you use a trance state to do a robery? Doubtfull.
Now lets all discuss what "hypnosis" is so we can pidgen hole the BS into a YES answer if it suits our needs.

I agree Richard a confused genuis is in a trance state never mind an idiot. I wouldn't rule it out completely although probably unlikely.
So you reckon the clerk was a stooge? And Danny we've had the "what is hypnosis" conversation before. I guess its down to what your applications are. A bit like eskimo's who have numerous words for snow. Although we only have one word for hypnosis. Basically the definition I go with is when all senses are turned inwards we have trance. However they also cross over and project inner images, sounds and feelings on to external events to. |

Mindpunisher for someone with 20 years of supposed experience your definition of trance is pretty ignorant.
But that's beside the point - in terms of the heading of this post, the bank robber story is old news (and an old debate), whilst the actual copy on that website is a pretty staggering overkill of old-fashioned marketing ideas. Erickson as a rebel psychiatrist who controlled minds? Lol. |

Will the fact you say that my definition is ignorant really throws suspiscion on your knowledge. For one thing its the definition I go with its not mine. All definitions and theories are just that definitions and theories. And the one I go with is the general consensus among NLP and ericksonian thinking.
Ive studied most aspects of hypnosis from all angles and various psychotheraputic therapies. I currently have and continue to develop my own processes which have and are making an impact in the business world. Definitions theories are not absolutes and its even ok to switch from one to another depending upon the context. However youl find that conversational hypnosis is based upon that basic idea. And infact being on here is a trance inducing activity since you need to go inside and create the missing information such as the sound of posters voices expressions and the meaning you put to the words. What have you got against old news? Hypnosis is old news except for you it seems so I'm not sure what your trying to say? Your post has no substance and comes across as a little incoherant. Would you like to try again and make your point? It may be one thing to be arrogant on here but to be both arrogant and ignorant I would say you score a double whammy wouldn't you? |

Because my name is igor...
Slim Im not pushing anything this thread was about the news story used in the ad. If the only criteria for being Johnathon Royle is pushing a product then were stuck in the middle of a field full of them. I have no products to sell. |

Mp I just don't get your point. Is it that the news story shouldn't have been used in the ad? If so - its just a drop in the ocean in what is a ludicrously exagerated and inflated sales page, which in my opinion is aimed at the wrong audience (wannabe-jedis) who'll never, ever live up to the headlines.
Or is your point more specific to the news story, and whether or not it was hypnosis? Because that was already discussed here http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......um=22&31 Either way you're giving more exposure to the naff website. |

I don't really care one way or another about the exposure to the "naff" website. I agree the copy is over the top. However I still wouldn't be surprised if he sells a lot of programmes. Ive heard from a few respected people that his content is very good. Richard also rated it highly. However "hype" does interest me because despite what you may think personally it works.
As for recurring themes and threads well this site is riddled with them. |
