The chemistry society gave out very small balloons of it one year at my school. The main danger, as stated before, is that it could suffocate you. Because it's denser than air, it'll sink to the bottom of your lungs & displace the oxygen. That's why you need to turn yourself upside down to ensure you get it all out. This makes it more dangerous than helium, because the helium is lighter than air & has an easier time escaping your lungs. I didn't have any noticeable problems when I breathed it in, but it was a small amount and I'm pretty young & never had any respiratory problems.

I won international award for balloons and always tell people never ever inhale helium or any gas. One death is one to many.
