I was thinking that It would be nice for me and everyone else to know of some songs that is practical for any magician.Any thing with good beats,Clean lyrics,And is great for any magic show.A little bit of knowledge goes a long way.If anyone knows of any songs that either Jeff Mc Bride Or David Copperfield uses that would be great as well.It would also be nice to see a list of songs that you use for the begining of the show before it starts.
On a side note-Vincent by: Don Mclean is a great song for magic. |

Please make sure you read the sticky at the top of the forum regarding music playing rights.
Almost any song is practical, depending on your target market, your character, your tastes. If you are looking for songs with magic or references to magic there are plenty of lists in the Not Very Magical forum And as I am sure others will chime in here, music specifically written for performers by performers are also good ( I do this, Opus1 and sleight-of-sound also do this). |

Rather than "music for anyone" you should first consider who you are as a performer and what you want to put across.
For example, Criss Angel would probably not use the same music that David Copperfield or Sigfried and Roy picked. They're all going for something different. Figure out what impression you want to put across (comic? serious? dramatic? etc.) and then look for music to support it. Also, as Bill mentions above, there is some good stuff out there written by magicians for magicians. Jeff |
