Hi, Losander. Thanks for stopping by and giving tips on some of the difficulties of working with threads.
Which type of wire do you think is best for levitating assistants? I find most stage levitations of people look too gimmicky. |

Are you talking about the Asrah, or do you mean flying?

Similar to flying, but more like a suspension. I'm working on a routine to suspend a person 4-6 feet in the air, but without chairs, broomsticks, tables, or sheets. I can rig the wire to inanimate objects around the stage to form a sort of web on which the assistant would be placed horizontally. I can also control the stage lighting. I'm just curious as to which type of wire you recommend is strong enough for supporting people.

I don't know. I have never played with that kind of wire. I think a thin piano wire painted black may work. Someone told me that there is a new thread out, but I do not know the name. I'll try to find out.
