My prediction is that those people who haven't enjoyed this latest series outing, found tonight's episode on Ch 4 a lot more to their taste!!
Whilst I have enjoyed all of the shows, tonight was a bit more of a return to Trick of the Mind type territory with some great mentalism effects including a lottery prediction and a 'dart prediction' which was completely new to me - very clever!! Only nagging bugbear is that you never see him do this sort of thing live....! Brilliant nonetheless!! What next for the devil incarnate!? |

I say maybe after the fame, fortune, invention, creativity and pushing mentalism forward...he'd maybe aim for obscurity and enjoy his painting...
whereas some of us just seem to aim for obscurity and leave all the fun stuff out.. I dunno what he'll do next, maybe turn full circle, maybe do something completely different and promote someone else, and be their nyman as it were? I doubt if we'd seem him on celebrity come dancing though... if you can't beat 'em, post something withering on an internet forum!

I think he is going to keep churning great TV specials at which he is the absolute best. He and his team will continue to explore newer avenues and dramatic premises. Or at least that's what I hope. Don't forget that before the disappointing TOT 2 came the brilliant 'The System'.

I wasn't dissapointed at all.
I thought all his shows in this season were entertaining. Looking forward to see what DB and his team come up with next...

Derren Brown has been brilliant and his thinking has added such a fresh look at mentalism. Even his mediocre stuff is better than much of the garbage that is out there. He always seems elegant, controlled, and sincere.

I hope that if Trick or Treat continues into a third series that the episodes are more in line with this, most recent episode. The style was just much more my tastes, and the fact that the participants' actions determined whether or not they'd get a trick or a treat really made it fun to watch. Plus, who doesn't like watching people arbitrarily put bunches of fruit on colored circles?
And after he finally ends his shows (Which I hope will be never), I think he'll move on to revolutionize kids' party entertainment as we know it. -Nick |

It would be awesome if he sold his paintings.

According to his website, Derren has a book coming out towards Xmas 2008 that contains some of his painting work.

Perhaps he'll be a guest coach on the second season of Celebracadabra!

I was lucky enough to see his last show in London this past Saturday ("Derren Bown Mind Reader - An Evening of Wonders"). It was absolutly fantastic - 2 standing ovations!
