Take no notice of those people demanding credits. The majority have never invented anything in their life. Their only joy in life is to undermine others in order to feel superior. Pathetic! Andi |

I think their are credits where they have to be. This DVD's are for Restaurant magic and not for brand new sleights and routines and on this point this projekt is great. Also all the routines have enough "James Prince touch" that they have a good reason to be on a DVD!

Further to my posting addressing the 'non existent' credits on my DVDs - I have now had my attention drawn to a performance of Four blue cards by Luis de Matos on youtube.com and so feel I can make an informed response.
The routine Four Blue Cards is a reworking of Oliver McKenzie's Drinks trick, which was put out in the 1950s. My routine is a three phase trick, phase one is also a reworking of McKenzie's trick, however neither of the two changes to the original that Tamarix makes in Four Blue Cards are included in my routine. I give McKenzie full credit in my DVD. To summarise the three routines - Tamarix Four Blue Cards - Four aces face up turn face down one at a time (Blue backs) The four turn face up again but the backs are now red The four backs turn back to blue but they are now Kings Cards cannot be examined at conclusion Oliver McKenzie's Drink Trick - A packet of four cards is introduced Shown to be four face down blue cards They turn face up one at a time (3 random cards + 1 Ace) They turn face down again one at a time changing to Aces as they do so The backs change colour (random designs) one at a time until all four have changed Cards cannot be examined at conclusion James Prince Brainfreeze - Intro - A card is chosen, signed and returned to the deck Phase 1 - A packet of four cards is introduced Shown to be four face down blue cards They turn face up one at a time (3 random cards + 1 Ace) They turn face down again one at a time changing to Aces as they do so The backs change colour (3 random designs + 1 red) one at a time until all four have changed Phase 2 - The stack is turned over to show one blue card remains - an extra card? - it is tabled and the remaining cards shown as 4 red backed aces The tabled card is shown to be the spectators signed card Phase 3 - The stack of 'four red backed aces' is counted back up to show four red backed cards On recounting there are five cards, four reds and one of the random backers - this is tabled This is repeated until there are three tabled cards and four red backed cards in the hand The four card in the had turn to five and are shown to be a royal flush The three tabled cards are shown to be jokers All can be examined In fairness to J-M (korttihai_82)if you were unaware of both Juan and my starting point - Oliver McKenzie's routine, then part of my routine would be similar to Juan's but only because both are similar to the original. I would guess that Tamarix make his changes to turn a close up packet trick into an impressive cabaret presentation. My changes were motivated by wanting to give the trick a series of climaxes and then end clean. None of my tricks had names until we came to make the DVDs, they were just the tricks that I did. I wanted to call this one 'Multiple Orgasm' but RSVP Magic over-ruled me - Probably just as well. |

I have been hugely impressed by 'Corporate Close Up' and 'Mix n Mingle'. Having read threads on other issues (a certain mind reading duck) I think that Russ Stevens and RSVP come across as both ethical and professional. Having read James's response, I believe he has taken the time to fully answer the crediting issue.
Just my opinion, but having missed out on the pre-release price (Grr!), I will be saving my pennies - Stop press - I just went to the RSVP website and the pre-release price is still there - I've ordered volume 2 and will save the pennies for Vol.1! |

There's some reviews on this thread:
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......&start=0 I love these DVD's. James Prince is a first rate performer and his routining and advice on this DVD set will be of interest to all performers. Like the Party Animal set from RSVP Magic, Menu of Miracles should be on everyone's shelf.
